Taxes and the Economy

Minnesotans are over taxed, this is clear from the growing budget surplus. Dr. Bill Lieske has never voted to raise your taxes and never will. He will work to reduce and eliminate over burdensome taxes. Bill will sponsor legislation to eliminate the tax on Social Security income and take that further to fight to eliminate the income tax for all Minnesotans. Bill will identify and vote to stop wasteful government spending. We need to focus on priorities and get the government out of the way so people and business can thrive and keep more of their hard earned money. Bill will return the surplus to the citizens that paid it. This over-collected money belongs to you, not the government.

Public Safety

The rise in crime across Minnesota is disturbing and is a direct result of the failures of the the policies that have been put in place by liberal politicians for years. Rather than demonizing and defunding our law enforcement community, Dr. Lieske will support our police and work on legislation to ensure that criminals are held accountable for their crimes. Bill will fight for reforms to our legal system to make sure the criminals are punished and that prosecutors stop the cycle of allowing repeat offenders get off with a slap on the wrist.

Protecting the Second Amendment

The Second Amendment is clear, "Shall not be Infringed", the right to keep and bear arms is fundamental to American freedom. Bill has pledged to protect that right for all Minnesotans. Bill will take a lead to sponsor legislation making Constitutional Carry and Stand Your Ground law in Minnesota. Bill will oppose any attempts to ban firearm ownership and protect the right of citizens to keep and bear arms.

Fighting the Political Establishment

Dr. Bill Liekse is not a career politician. Bill is a family man and small business owner. He is running for the Senate not to build a political career but to fight the political elite that are more concerned with their next election than doing what is right for the people. Bill will sponsor legislation to set term limits for all political offices in Minnesota. Bill will always put the voice and needs of the people over the demands and desires of the political leaders and the political elite.
